God
At Christ Ascension, we are people who believe that the world was created by God. We believe that God values each one of us and wants to be in a relationship with us. And, He wants us to be in relationship with Him. At Christ Ascension, we strive to build individual relationships with God through our prayer group, our bible study, and other opportunities. We also respond to God as a people through our worship as a community and our service to others. We would like to help you to find a relationship with God, or to strengthen the one you already have!
Jesus And The Holy Spirit
As Christians, we believe that Jesus is God perfectly revealed in human form. During the life of Jesus, he taught us how to live, and as Christians, we do our best to live out His teachings. We are called to be a people who love and serve others. We believe that the Holy Spirit is also God, and guides us in our individual lives and leads the church.
The Episcopal Church
While on earth, Jesus established the church to carry out the work that He began. We are part of the Episcopal church, meaning that we are led by bishops. The Book of Common Prayer, the basis for our services, has roots that go back to the oldest forms of Christian worship. We believe that The Bible (The Old and New Testaments) is the primary source of faith and belief. It is the record of the relationship between God and humanity and of the revelation of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the savior of the world.
